The Raymond Entrepreneurship Scholarship is funded by the Frank J. and Jean Raymond Foundation. The Raymond Entrepreneurship Scholarship was established in 2010 and is managed through the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship. Recipients are awarded up to $5,000 per academic year.
To be considered for this scholarship, students must fulfill at least one of these categories:
- Have expressed or demonstrated an interest in entrepreneurship.
- Participated in the entrepreneurship programs through the McFerrin Center, entrepreneurship classes or other entrepreneurial activities.
- Currently operating your own entrepreneurial venture, or plan to begin one.
APPLICATION DUE DATE
The Raymond Entrepreneurship Scholarship application and required materials must be completed by February 1, 2022 for the 2022-23 academic year.
Raymond Entrepreneurship Scholarship recipients are awarded $5,000 per academic year. Ideal candidates have two academic years of coursework remaining. This scholarship is renewable for a second year with a demonstrated commitment to entrepreneurship and academic excellence.
To be eligible for consideration:
—Applicant must be enrolled FULL TIME (12 hours) at Texas A&M University – College Station.
— Applicant must have achieved at least Junior level classification (completed 60 credit hours) by the start of Fall 2022.
— Applicant must be in good academic standing, with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0.
— Applicant must have an interest in entrepreneurship.
Applications are open each spring and must be submitted online by the deadline with the addition of a minimum of one letter of recommendation. Failure to submit a letter of recommendation will result in disqualification.

All applications will be reviewed and processed by the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship. Completed applications will receive an initial screening by the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship.
Those that best match the criteria will be invited for a personal interview with representatives of the Frank J. and Jean Raymond Foundation in late Spring of 2022. Awards will be announced in May each year.
